Yes, despite being tax-paying Americans, we can't burden the Federal Government by having some of our own money (i.e. - our tax dollars) trickle down to us.

Ironically, there seems to be enough tax dollars to support people like myself whose life was turned upside down due to the segregation of my family from civil law (a cost that is 100% avoidable with Marriage Equality). I've barely been ABLE TO work on a consistent level since 2004, and do not see myself being able to return to work in the near future. But I sincerely wish I COULD work right now (not just for my own mental well-being). but so I could return to withholding my tax dollars from this immoral government.
